These video shorts are about self control and about learning to be self-reliant. In the first, the young hero is offered employment when he answers questions both bravely and politely. In the second video the same orphan boy has a creative idea that helps him “to step out of the box.” He is hungry. Then he realizes he can find free firewood in the forest. He could bundle it, take it to a nearby village and exchange it for home-cooked food! In the third video a young heroine wanders through a forest in despair. She is brave and alone, but accepts help from several sincere characters who step forward to provide assistance. In the end she is able to locate a set of seven tiered pots, and then get them filled with liquids and foods she knows she is going to need. The first two videos are excerpts taken from Episode #3 of The Legend of Ponnivala’s animated series. The third excerpt comes from animated Episode #26.
